Canada's best casino hotels for 2026, scored out of 100

A slot hall with a roadside motel beside it is common enough in Canada. A building where you can sleep, dine, see a headliner and play without putting your coat on is not, and only that second kind is ranked here. Twelve hotels were marked on six criteria and converted into points out of 100; the top ten make the list, and the remaining two follow it.

The points are our editorial call, built only from what each hotel and named sources publish. No hotel has paid us, and no place on this list is for sale; this is how the site does earn money.

The ten, one by one

1

Fallsview Casino Resort

open since 2004 · Niagara Falls (ON)

91of 100

Book the falls-view room, then let the building do the rest.

If you book one casino hotel in Canada, this is the obvious candidate: the falls outside the window, two stages under the same roof, a gaming floor you could lose an afternoon on and more restaurants than a weekend allows. The catch is the view, which depends on the room type, so mind the category when you book.

Rooms & sleep 9.5 · Pool, spa & downtime 8.5 · Getting in & out 8.5 · Restaurants & bars 9.0 · Stage & events 10.0 · Gaming floor 9.5

Yes, ifYour first casino-hotel weekend in Canada, when you want the view, a show and the gaming floor without moving the car.
No, ifYou count on a buffet, or hoped the under-12s could swim without you (a parent must be in the pool).

4

Caesars Windsor

open since 1998 · Windsor (ON)

87of 100

The country's biggest casino hotel, looking across the river at Detroit.

Choose Caesars when room choice matters: nowhere else we cover has more rooms, split between a family-friendly newer tower and an older one, most of them looking at Detroit across the water. The Colosseum books arena acts, downtown Windsor is outside the door, and the two things to budget for are the nightly resort fee and a pool your kids can't use.

Rooms & sleep 9.0 · Pool, spa & downtime 8.5 · Getting in & out 8.5 · Restaurants & bars 8.0 · Stage & events 10.0 · Gaming floor 8.5

Yes, ifConcert nights at the Colosseum and two-day city breaks where you want plenty of room types to choose from.
No, ifYour children are expecting a swim, because the indoor pool is for adults.

5

Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto

open since 2023 · Toronto (ON)

86of 100

Toronto's newest big resort, a short shuttle ride from Pearson.

Everything here dates from 2023 (rooms, theatre, pool) and it sits a free shuttle ride from Pearson, right beside Woodbine's racetrack. Rooms are practical rather than spacious, the gaming floor is enormous, and parking costs nothing, which is rare for Toronto.

Rooms & sleep 8.0 · Pool, spa & downtime 8.5 · Getting in & out 9.0 · Restaurants & bars 8.0 · Stage & events 9.5 · Gaming floor 9.5

Yes, ifFlying in for a weekend, catching an arena-size concert, or wanting the biggest slot choice in Canada on one floor.
No, ifYou want a view beyond the racetrack and the edge of the city, or a standard room larger than 388 sq ft.

7

River Cree Resort & Casino

open since 2006 · Edmonton (AB)

79of 100

Ramsay's kitchen, twin rinks, and a tower under construction.

River Cree suits more kinds of trip than most: hockey families use the two rinks, food fans come for Hell's Kitchen, and the casino is one of Alberta's biggest. Today's rooms are fine rather than new; a tall new tower is due to open in 2027.

Rooms & sleep 7.5 · Pool, spa & downtime 8.5 · Getting in & out 7.0 · Restaurants & bars 8.5 · Stage & events 8.0 · Gaming floor 8.5

8

Casino Rama Resort

open since 1996 · Orillia (ON)

78of 100

Lake country, a stage for 5,000, and a refit in progress.

Rama is a concert-and-lake weekend two hours up the 400: a big stage, a quiet setting near Orillia, and a resort halfway through a refit that is bringing new rooms, a spa and new restaurants. Ask which floors are finished before you book; that decides whether your room is old or new.

Grey Eagle Resort & Casino

open since 2014 · Calgary (AB)

76of 100

Rooms looking west to the Rockies, on Calgary's south-west edge.

Calgary's casino resort belongs to the Tsuut'ina Nation and makes a good base for both a concert night and a mountain day trip; west-facing rooms see the Rockies when the weather is clear. The kitchen at Little Chief is a highlight. The pool, for now, is not, because it is closed for renovation.

Rooms & sleep 8.0 · Pool, spa & downtime 6.0 · Getting in & out 8.0 · Restaurants & bars 8.0 · Stage & events 8.5 · Gaming floor 7.5

10

Casino New Brunswick

open since 2010 · Moncton (NB)

72of 100

Atlantic Canada's casino hotel, with roomy rooms and pets allowed.

On a Maritime road trip this is the casino hotel to aim for: generous rooms with windows that actually open, a pool, a concert hall in the complex and a welcome for your dog. Food choice is thin, so eat at least once in town.

Rooms & sleep 8.0 · Pool, spa & downtime 7.5 · Getting in & out 7.0 · Restaurants & bars 6.0 · Stage & events 7.5 · Gaming floor 7.0

Yes, ifA Maritime drive with the dog along, Hopewell Rocks and Magnetic Hill on the itinerary.
