Four habits worth keeping
- Work out the gambling budget at home, then lock your cards in the room safe on arrival.
- Choose your stopping time in advance, and set an alarm, because the gaming floor won't remind you.
- Write off a loss as what the night cost; trying to win it back usually deepens it.
- Break up the night with the pool, a treatment or a show, which you paid for too.
Self-exclusion exists in every province; how it works is set out on our entry age and ID page.
