No, ifYou want a view beyond the racetrack and the edge of the city, or a standard room larger than 388 sq ft.

The room to ask for

Every one of the 400 rooms is new. Standard rooms come in Premium or Racetrack versions, with a king or two queens, all 388 sq ft (36 m²); pick Racetrack if you want to watch the horses, a view Destination Toronto says close to half the building shares. Need more room? The 2-Bedroom Suite takes six people and the Corner Suite adds a queen sofa bed to its king; each has a microwave and fridge. Standard kit: coffee maker, mini fridge, NEST bath products, robes, blackout curtains. Accessible rooms get grab bars and roll-in showers five feet wide.

Whoever books needs to be 19-plus; kids may share the room, though 19+ zones stay off-limits to them. Arrive from 16:00, leave by 11:00.

Swim, steam, unwind

Steam room, sauna, gym, and a pool with a hot tub. On busy days you might need to reserve swim time at the desk.

Arriving and parking

From Pearson, a free shuttle runs daily in two windows, morning (until noon, from 06:00) and afternoon (from 15:00 until 21:00); look for post F3 outside T1 arrivals, or near the B and G gates in T3. Park yourself and it's free, with 3,800 covered spaces; valet costs roughly C$20 Mon–Thu and C$30 Fri–Sun. Pets: up to two, cats or dogs under 50 lbs, C$49 nightly and C$49 once for cleaning.

Where to eat and drink

Copperhorn, the steakhouse on the gaming floor, is the special-occasion choice. Casual, the gastropub, pours a long local craft-beer list. For Asian food there's Lobster Legend Noodle Bar (Teochew and Western plates) and Chopsticks Noodlehouse; Pizzaiolo does gourmet pizza. In the Food Hall: Mary Brown's Express, Noodlebox, Tim Hortons. For a cocktail it's Northern Lights Bar, 19+ only, while all ages can use the Lobby Bar Grab & Go.

What's on stage

Concert capacity at The Theatre is 5,000; gala capacity, 1,500 and up. Ticketmaster is the only seller. Woodbine's races next door cost nothing to watch on most days, parking included; the fall meet's last race day was listed as 29 November 2026.

Downstairs: the gaming floor

Global News reported 145 table games and 4,800 slots at the 2023 opening, and the operator says no one in Canada offers more slot choice. The high-limit room alone holds 210-plus slots, 15 electronic poker and blackjack terminals and more than 25 live tables. Both the hotel and the floor operate 24 hours, and anyone 19 or older can join Great Canadian Rewards at no cost.

Good to know before you go

A labour dispute is running: since 23 July 2026 roughly 100 security officers (Unifor Local 1090) have been locked out, and there are picket lines at the entrances. In a notice dated 2 October 2026, Great Canadian says hotel and casino remain open 24/7 with normal restaurant hours; cars, it says, are waved through the line no more than three minutes apart. Check the latest before you drive over.

Our take

Toronto's best pick when you're flying in, going to a concert or simply after the biggest slot choice in the country. Rooms are new but not large, so book a Corner Suite if you need elbow room.
