Choose Caesars when room choice matters: nowhere else we cover has more rooms, split between a family-friendly newer tower and an older one, most of them looking at Detroit across the water. The Colosseum books arena acts, downtown Windsor is outside the door, and the two things to budget for are the nightly resort fee and a pool your kids can't use.

Yes, ifConcert nights at the Colosseum and two-day city breaks where you want plenty of room types to choose from.
No, ifYour children are expecting a swim, because the indoor pool is for adults.

The room to ask for

Seven hundred and fifty-eight rooms means choice. The resort labels its Augustus Tower family-friendly; the Forum Tower is the older of the two, and the whole stock went through a renovation announced in 2018 (Forum rooms were done by September 2019, with 55-inch televisions, new carpet and new bedding). A standard Resort Room is around 402 sq ft with a king, a big desk, a separate tub and shower and the river outside. Step up to the Resort Deluxe Suite for a whirlpool tub and wet bar, the Junior Suite for a separate living room (whirlpool only in Forum), or the Executive Suite: marble five-piece bathroom, a television set into the mirror, a separate butler's door and, in some, a fireplace.

Check-in opens at 16:00, check-out is 11:00. The booking page we tried tacked on a resort fee of C$23.40 per night, charged when you leave.

Swim, steam, unwind

The indoor pool is for adults only: a large whirlpool, loungers and towel service. Sauna and gym come with the room. We found no spa among the current amenities.

Arriving and parking

Windsor's airport is a short taxi ride away. After more than a year of repairs, the garage on Glengarry Avenue (number 257, six floors) was fully open again from 8 July 2026. No car from Detroit? A private shuttle, the Tunnel Bus, stops at McDougall & University; see the route notes below.

Where to eat and drink

For a dressed-up dinner, it's Neros Steakhouse. The rest is casual. Breakfast and lunch at Café 377; Italian family dinners at Spago Trattoria; burgers at Johnny Rockets; games on screen at Legends Sports Bar; and on the Forum Tower's ground floor, a Tim Hortons open 24 hours. Vu Bar has the skyline; Cosmos Lounge has local live music on Friday and Saturday nights. ARIIUS, the nightclub, moved out in January 2026 to Ouellette Avenue, so there is none on site now.

What's on stage

Plenty of guests come for the Colosseum. Its 5,000 seats all sit within 225 feet of the stage, and an announcement in July 2026 made every show all-ages unless stated. Alice Cooper was on the bill for Friday 6 November 2026 when we looked.

Downstairs: the gaming floor

Per the fact sheet of August 2023: over 80 table games and 2,000-plus slots; live craps, which it described as the only game of its kind in Ontario; poker in a room branded World Series of Poker; and a sportsbook with 22 big screens over 1,700 sq ft. The casino and its bars admit 19+ only. Caesars Rewards cardholders get early access to Colosseum tickets.

Our take

Ideal for a concert night or two days downtown, with plenty of room types to choose from. Couples get the most out of it. Families can sleep in Augustus, but will need to find a swim somewhere else.

Can children use the pool at Caesars Windsor?

No. On the fact sheet it is an indoor pool for adults, whirlpool included; families can sleep in Augustus but must swim elsewhere.

Are Colosseum shows 19+?

Not by default. The resort says shows are open to all ages unless a particular show is marked otherwise; only the casino and its bars are strictly 19+.

What does the resort fee add?

On the booking page we checked it came to $23.40 per night, collected when you check out. Add it to the room rate when you compare prices.
