Casino hotels in Ontario
Updated · facts checked
Ontario has more casino hotels than any other province, and the widest range: the falls-view towers of Niagara, a riverside resort facing Detroit, a brand-new complex next to Toronto's racetrack, an adults-only Hard Rock in Ottawa and a lake-country resort near Orillia. All casinos here are run under OLG and regulated by the AGCO, and the entry age is 19.

5 casino hotels we review
Fallsview Casino Resort
Fallsview is the casino hotel Canadians picture first, and the facts back it up: 372 rooms designed around views of the falls, more than 3,200 slots and 110 tables, two theatres including the 5,000-seat OLG Stage, and over 20 places to eat. Nothing else in the country packs that much into one building with that view.
Caesars Windsor
Caesars Windsor has more rooms than any other property here — 758 across two towers, most with the Detroit skyline across the river — and the 5,000-seat Colosseum, where no seat is more than 225 feet from the stage. The casino is big (2,000+ slots, 80+ tables) and the location is downtown, not an exit off the highway.
Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto
Opened in 2023 next to Woodbine Racetrack, this is the newest large casino resort in the Toronto area: 400 rooms, a 5,000-person theatre, a pool with sauna and steam room, free parking and a free shuttle from Pearson. The operator says it has the largest selection of slot machines in Canada.
Casino Rama Resort
Casino Rama on Rama First Nation land near Orillia is in the middle of its biggest refresh in years: renovated rooms from 2025, a new ground-floor spa, and three new restaurants including Gateway's Atlas Steak and Fish. The 5,000-seat Entertainment Centre keeps pulling headliners up Highway 400.
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa
Opened on July 3, 2025, this is the newest casino hotel on our list and Canada's first fully integrated Hard Rock resort: 150 rooms including 22 suites, a 24/7 casino with 1,500+ slots, a Council Oak steakhouse and the 2,200-capacity Hard Rock LIVE. Everything — hotel included — is 19+.
