Fallsview Casino Resort review

Updated · facts checked

Fallsview is the casino hotel Canadians picture first, and the facts back it up: 372 rooms designed around views of the falls, more than 3,200 slots and 110 tables, two theatres including the 5,000-seat OLG Stage, and over 20 places to eat. Nothing else in the country packs that much into one building with that view.

  • Rooms & views9.5

  • Shows & events10.0
  • Pool, spa & fitness8.5

Best for: A weekend where the view, the show and the casino are all under one roof.
Skip if: You need a buffet, or you are travelling with young kids who want the pool alone (it is 12+ unless a parent comes along).

Why it tops our ranking

Fallsview is the only casino hotel in Canada where the room itself is the attraction. The resort says each of its 372 rooms and suites was designed for views of Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls, the city of Niagara Falls or a mix of them. Under the rooms sits one of the largest casino floors in the country — more than 3,200 slot machines and 110 gaming tables over 200,000 square feet — plus two theatres and more than 20 restaurants. You can spend a full weekend here without moving the car.

Rooms and views

Deluxe rooms face Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls or the city, and come with one king, two queens or two doubles, a seating area with a writing desk, a coffee maker, an in-room safe, an iron and a hairdryer. The resort's own FAQ is honest about one thing worth knowing: some rooms see both falls, others only one. If the view is the reason you are booking, choose the category deliberately and confirm it when you reserve.

Suites come in five tiers. Diplomat Suites run along the tower's curved exterior with panoramic falls or city views and a whirlpool tub. Parlour Suites look at the American Falls and add a pull-out sofa and a second TV. Executive Suites have a partial falls view and a separate bedroom. Ambassador and Premier Suites face the falls, with a separate bedroom and, in the Premier, full living and dining areas and an oversized bathroom.

Check-in is at 4 pm and check-out at 11 am. Room service runs in two windows: 7–11 am and 6–11 pm.

The casino floor

The gaming floor is 19+ with ID, and the resort is clear that babies in arms and strollers are not allowed on it. Alcohol is served on the floor at the Infinity Bar from 9 am to 1:50 am. The loyalty programme is Momentum, Mohegan's rewards scheme; the free entry tier is Core, followed by Ignite, Leap, Ascend and Soar. Ignite and above get complimentary casino parking, which matters here because everyone else pays a rate the resort sets on the day.

Shows

This is where Fallsview pulls away from most rivals. The OLG Stage seats 5,000, and the resort says no seat is more than 150 feet from the stage; it also cites a Billboard ranking as the number one venue in Canada in the 2,501–5,000 capacity class. The Avalon Theatre seats 1,559, with no seat more than 100 feet away. Between them the resort advertises more than 320 shows a year. If you are planning a December visit, Niagara Falls Tourism lists Christmas On Ice at the Avalon from November 26 to December 20, 2026 — its 14th season, 32 performances.

Dining

The signature room is 21 Club Steak & Seafood; it and the Italian Ponte Vecchio both carry an OpenTable "Top 50 Hotel Restaurants 2026" badge on their pages. Around them: Golden Lotus (Cantonese), a Noodle Bar, a Sushi & Oyster Bar, The Falls Deli and Bar Barista, which is a coffee house by day and a cocktail bar at night. The Galleria shopping street adds Lucky's, a Niagara Brewing Company taproom, Vittorio's, Paramount Fine Foods and Shoeless Joe's. Two things to know: Fallsview does not currently run a buffet, and the Dragonfly nightclub is closing after almost 20 years, with a new concept promised but not yet named.

Pool, spa and fitness

The indoor pool is open 7 am to 10 pm and needs a daily key; guests under 12 must be with a parent. The workout area is open 7 am to 9 pm. Treatments are run by Damara Day Spa; a tourism ticket listing prices a relaxation massage there at $158.

Getting there and parking

The resort describes itself as 90 minutes from Toronto and 45 minutes from Buffalo; Toronto Pearson is about 125 km away. On weekends and holidays GO trains run from Union Station to Niagara Falls, and a free shuttle links Fallsview with Casino Niagara on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and show days, every 30 minutes from 4 pm to 12:45 am. The garage holds more than 3,000 cars and has ten EV chargers — four on P1, six on P5. Only certified service animals are allowed on the property.

Our verdict

If you only stay at one casino hotel in Canada, make it this one — but book the view, not just the room. Pick a falls-facing category, check the show calendar before you choose your dates, and join Momentum before you arrive if you plan to drive, since parking is where the extra cost hides.

Questions travellers ask

Do all Fallsview rooms see the falls?

No. Rooms face Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls or the city, and the resort's FAQ says some see both falls while others see only one. Choose a falls-view category and confirm it when booking.

Does Fallsview have a buffet?

Not at the moment. The resort's dining page says it does not currently operate a buffet.

Can kids stay at Fallsview Casino Resort?

Yes. Children are allowed on the property, but the casino floor is 19+, and guests under 12 need a parent with them in the pool.
