River Cree Resort & Casino
River Cree, on Enoch Cree Nation land at Edmonton's western edge, combines a 249-room hotel with one of Alberta's largest casinos, Canada's first Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen, two NHL-size rinks and a free shuttle to West Edmonton Mall. An 18-storey hotel tower is under construction.
Grey Eagle Resort & Casino
Owned and run by the Tsuut'ina Nation on Calgary's south-west edge, Grey Eagle opened its 178-room hotel in 2014. Some rooms look west to the Rockies, the 2,500-seat Event Centre books strong acts, and Little Chief is one of the better casino restaurants in the West. The pool is closed during a renovation that runs into 2027.
