How we rate casino hotels
Updated · facts checked
Each hotel gets a score from 0 to 10 on six criteria. The total is a weighted average, so a hotel can't top the list on one strength alone.
| Criterion | Weight |
|---|---|
| Rooms & views | 25% |
| Casino floor | 20% |
| Dining | 20% |
| Shows & events | 15% |
| Pool, spa & fitness | 10% |
| Getting there | 10% |
What counts
- Rooms & views — number and range of rooms and suites, published sizes, views, recent renovations.
- Casino floor — size, slot and table counts, hours, poker and high-limit areas.
- Dining — range, a signature restaurant, late-night options, buffet and brunch.
- Shows & events — venue size, line-up, who is allowed in.
- Pool, spa & fitness — what is open now, not what used to be.
- Getting there — airport and downtown distance, transit, parking.
Where our facts come from
We build each profile from the hotel's and casino operator's own pages first, then provincial tourism boards and hotel-brand pages, and only then from press and Wikipedia — which we name when we use them. When sources disagree (room counts at Hilton Lac-Leamy, for example), we show both. When something isn't published, we say so instead of guessing. Facts for this edition were checked on October 23, 2026; the new-openings page on October 28, 2026.
We have not stayed at these hotels for this edition. These are desk reviews of published information, and we say so because it matters.
How this site makes money
No hotel pays us, and links to hotels are ordinary links. On our online casino pages, links to casino sites may be affiliate links: if you sign up through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. A commission never changes a hotel score, and nobody can buy a place in our hotel ranking.
Corrections
Hotels change fast — restaurants close, pools reopen, fees move. If you spot something out of date, email [email protected] and we will check it against the source and update the page with a new date.
