The Maritime option

Casino New Brunswick opened in Moncton in 2010 with a casino, a hotel and an entertainment centre in one complex. It is run by Great Canadian Entertainment and is the casino hotel to know in Atlantic Canada.

Rooms — bigger than most

The 126 rooms and suites are roomy by casino-hotel standards. A Deluxe King starts at 440 sq ft and a Deluxe Two Queen at 490, both with city or mountain views, high ceilings, windows that open, 300-thread-count sheets and walk-in showers. Suites run from the 590 sq ft Studio Suite to the 795 sq ft Luxury Suite and the fifth-floor Marquis Suite, which adds a private balcony and two bathrooms.

You must be 19 to reserve or check in; children may stay but cannot enter 19+ areas. Check-in is 4 pm, check-out 11 am. Note that room service is not available at the moment.

The casino

Tables include blackjack, baccarat, I Luv Suits, craps and roulette, and the private poker room in "the Lighthouse" runs Thursday to Saturday evenings. The casino added new slot titles in December 2025 and March 2026. Rewards Club is free; members get buffet and gift-shop discounts.

Food, drink and shows

Choice is limited: The Buffet (Wednesday to Saturday, with Ribs & Wings on Thursdays and AA Prime Rib on Fridays; members pay a few dollars less) and the Hub City Pub on the casino floor, both 19+. Concerts take place at the Molson Canadian Centre on site.

Pool, gym and pets

The hotel has a pool and a gym; children under 12 must be supervised there. Up to two cats or dogs of up to 50 lbs each can stay for $40 a night, though not in the pool, gym or restaurants. Parking is free; you'll be asked for your car's make, model and plate at check-in.

Around Moncton

The hotel points guests to Magnetic Hill, its zoo, Tidal Bore Park, TreeGO and the Capitol Theatre, with Hopewell Rocks on the Bay of Fundy within day-trip range.

Our verdict

Big rooms, a pool and pets allowed — a strong road-trip stop. Eat in town at least once; the on-site dining is thin.
